Beyond Distractions.
Objective
This documentary trailer is a proof of concept that explores the struggles and stories of those with ADHD. Its goal is to uncover connections in stories that make people with ADHD more likely to succeed.
Synoposis
I drew inspiration from the documentary “Stutz” on Netflix, which was created by Johah Hill. I found the story excelled at showing human vulnerability in a way that was meant to inspire.
Process
I shared a touching story in the form of a voice-over, as well as had myself interviewed with multiple camera angles. I researched and wrote compelling interview questions based on what I already knew about the subject. I then assembled a camera package, consisting of two Lumix S5iixs and some professional audio and lighting gear, to get nice images.
Results
My target audience explained that the personal story touched them and that the vulnerability made the story relatable, and they were interested in seeing a full documentary exploring this topic. See It Here.
